Shushumna is the term to describe the energy flowing in the core of the spine. Its channel is said to be the pathway to enlightenment, the passageway through which awakened energy rises on its way to the crown chakra.
Shushumna has a deep meaning connecting two words: sukha (joyful) and mana (mind). Now, the word “sukha” also has the implication of the concept of space and balance which brings us to the idea of a well-centered, joyful mind.
At first, through the practices of pranayama and nostril breathing, we will open the pathways to explore basic asanas such as Triangle, Warrior 1, Tree, Revolved Head-to-Knee pose and others. This workshop will enable us to engage constructively and consciously with breathing and meditation to experience the joy of presence and non attachment as we find our internal alignment.
This workshop is suitable for all levels of practitioners who want to deepen their connection to breath and awareness of alignment.
