Join Breathe in northern India for an unforgettable journey of Bhakti (devotion), Seva (service) and Sadhana (practice) with Jennifer Prugh and Prajna Vieira. Immerse yourself in daily yoga, chanting, and meditation practice. Experience the healing energy of sacred temples and places of pilgrimage along the Ganges and Yamuna rivers, and learn the stories of the gods and goddesses they celebrate. We will also engage in several service projects, giving back to the land, the people, and the culture which gave birth to our practices.
Accommodations, meals and temple donations are already covered in the cost of the trip, as are funds for our seva projects. As this is more of a pilgrimage than a retreat, we will be staying some nights in hotels and other nights in ashrams. Expect all accommodations to be clean, safe, and comfortable, but not always luxurious. We will be joined by Jennifer’s favorite expert guide, Faisal, who has accompanied previous Breathe journeys. The itinerary below is an outline—this trip is highly organized and planned well in advance, but India has her own rhythm. Be open to spontaneous adjustments—letting go of the plan is often where the magic happens!

About Prajna: I’ve been practicing yoga for over 2 decades, and teaching since 2002. Because I remain a dedicated student, my teaching is first and foremost inspired by my personal practice, with its roots in the Ashtanga and Iyengar traditions. I consider myself very lucky to have had the opportunity to work with many gifted teachers, both well-known and not so well-known. All of my teachers have influenced my work in some way, but I especially acknowledge Maty Ezraty, Judith Lasater, Jennifer Prugh and Erika Abrahamian for profoundly influencing my life, my practice, and my work.
