Jana Kilgore, CAP, CMT, CCN, CMH is a Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner, Chef, E-RYT 500 Yoga Instructor and Medical Massage Therapist and acting Director of the Wellness Center at Breathe Together Yoga. After studying Eastern philosophy and religions she began her formal Meditation practice at age 12. Her journey of Yoga and Ayurveda began after earning her B.S. in Cultural Anthropology and Environmental Policy specializing in Sustainable Agriculture and Community Development from Michigan State University. After years of cooking, farming and sports she dove into Yoga for healing studying Iyengar, Anusara, Ashtanga and Restorative yoga. She’s spent the better part of 20 years studying with Theresa Elliott, Desiree Rumbaugh Douglas Brooks, Sally Kempton, John Friend, Shiva Rea, Sianna Sherman, Noah Maze, Abby Tucker, Jennifer Prugh and Scott Blossom. She teaches Ayurveda for the Joy of Yoga School 200 and 300 Hour Yoga Teacher Training. When she’s not at Breathe Together Yoga she is leading retreats in Yosemite National Park, the Bay Area, and Hawaii or out on a trail foraging. She is on a mission to help as many people awaken their true potential through healthy living, conscious community and environmental stewardship as possible. Jana lives in the Santa Cruz, CA area and continues to study Holistic Nutrition, Herbal Medicine, Ayurveda and Ecology.
