Pearl Wang

Pearl is a professional dancer and has been teaching dance for over 15 years.  While getting her BA in Dance and Performance Studies from UC Berkeley, she discovered the world of yoga and has been practicing ever since. In 2009, Pearl became a yoga alliance certified yoga teacher, completing her training under Jennifer Prugh’ ‘Joy of Yoga’ 200 hour program.

Throughout her dance career, Pearl has always been interested in kinesiology/movement therapy along with injury prevention, which translates into her yoga classes, emphasizing proper alignment and an understanding of the postures.  Pearl’s teaching experience allows her to focus on each students needs whether they require strength, flexibility, or an awareness of their body and how they move in space.

Pearl’s classes are a combination of vinyasa and dance, drawing from various dance styles, making the classes fun and challenging.
