Gentle Immersion

Yoga teacher, Joanne Varni, is smiling while seated outdoors, in front of a tree and green foliage.

Gentle yoga is a 30-hour course that explores the fundamentals of teaching beginning yoga students through accessible sequencing, language, and use of props. This course also provides the resources to teach from a trauma-informed perspective, which includes the biology of trauma and its impact on all parts of the physical and subtle bodies. Students will leave with a solid foundation to teach to all populations that would benefit from a gentle yoga practice. This course includes theory, teaching methodology, anatomy and physiology, yoga philosophy, ethics, and practicum.

This course is a part of the JOY of Yoga 300-Hour Teacher Training Core Curriculum, and also open to the public, with eligibility for 30 CEUs (Continuing Education Units). Apply here for courses to be eligible toward the 300-Hour.
