Bridget’s life’s work is in assisting others to find thriving health by utilizing her expertise in two of the most clinically relevant holistic medicine modalities: Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic Medicine, she is an incredible resource to patients. Her calling to delve deep into the most effective and non-harming medicines on the planet came through years of dedicated yoga practice, and the transformation of mind-body practice has allowed her to dedicate her life to being a part of your healing process as a board licensed primary care provider.
Bridget offers acupuncture, herbal medicine, Ayurvedic coaching, cupping, Gua Sha, personalized seasonal cleanses, and private yoga instruction all right in Breath Together Yoga wellness rooms. In receiving treatments with Bridget, expect to nourish your mind, body and spirit by reducing stress and support the nervous system. While Chinese, Ayurvedic and herbal medicine can aid in healing of almost all acute or chronic conditions, Bridget specializes in pain management, orthopedics, sports medicine, gynecology (women’s health, menstrual cycles, fertility, prenatal/postnatal care and menopause), cancer support, and maintaining optimum health for yoga practitioners.
As an adventurer, your healing practitioner Bridget’s most inspirational influence comes through living life to it’s fullest in the solitude of nature when adventuring high upon mountain peaks or in the ocean’s embrace. She was raised in the Michigan, lived many years in the high Rockies, and currently calls the Bay Area home.
Acupuncture is a form of medicine that works by stimulating the body’s natural healing abilities. We place very fine, sterile, one-time- use needles in specific points along energy meridians of the body. You will usually feel an initial sensation of pressure followed by deep relaxation during a treatment. Research shows that acupuncture stimulates endorphins, the body’s natural healers, as well as brain chemicals that promote circulation, immune function and hormonal balance. Acupuncture is excellent for pain, inflammation
reduction, and physical and psychological problems. One of the greatest advantages of acupuncture is the absence of undesirable side effects and the sense of well being after treatments. Many patients receiving treatment will note after a few sessions a reduction in daily stress and a more balanced state of mind. These one-on- one treatments are tailored specifically to the needs and presentation of each patient.
A single session may include any of the following techniques, depending on what is the most appropriate for you and your condition:

Your first Ayurvedic medicine appointment will last about 60 minutes. During this time Bridget will take a detailed history of your life and health concerns. Diagnosis will be based upon intake, tongue and pulse evaluations. Your session will help to determine your constitution (original health state) and current state of the constitution. Together we dill determine an individualized wellness plan for you. Follow-up appointments are recommended every 6 weeks during the course of care. Ayurvedic Medicine utilizes
specialized diets, lifestyle modifications, yoga, meditation, supplements, massage and specific cleanses.
Often Ayurvedic medicine and acupuncture can be used together to enhance each health plan’s impact on long-term health.

When working with Ayurveda it’s recommended to plan on a 3 month or 6-month regimen to help create lasting health benefits, for this reason I have several options for initial and continued care.
Cupping
Cupping is a therapy often used for muscle tension and the common cold. Small glass cups are held in place on the body through the use of a mild suction. The practitioner is able to adjust the sensation according to the sensitivity and needs of each patient. This therapy will often leave a red mark on the body that will dissipate within a few days.
Gua Sha
Gua Sha is a deep massage technique used to release muscle tension and to address the common cold. Your acupuncturist will use a smooth-edged tool to scrape the skin over the area of concern. This technique might also leave behind a temporary mark or redness on the body.
Bridget has worked as a multi-national herbal consultant advising doctors, naturopaths, acupuncturists and veterinarians on herbal formulas for their patients. She has over a decade of experience in prescribing herbs, as well as several years of work in quality control and manufacturing of herbal medicine. She utilizes a combination of western, Chinese, and Ayurvedic herbs along with functional supplements and vitamins to enhance patient health. Herbal consultations are a way to maintain a year-round protocol to maximize health. Each consultation will be catered to address your current
concerns and long-term goals. Herbal consultations are in person or by phone.
Price of herbal supplements will vary based on prescription and is not included in consultation.
