Her Why –
Because we have so much to learn from each other!
She believes that the Asana practice is a form of creative expression, and provides profound personal insight. We’re asked to go in, go deep, increase awareness, tap into the soul, and create something (asana) that is expressive of where we are in that moment, that day. The body is the vehicle for what can be a rich and informative process. You might think that the physical progress you make is the highlight, but learn in time that it’s affecting your whole being for the better.
Ballet, collegiate track and field, and tennis all contributed to Amy’s joy of movement over the years. She has been a passionate student of Yoga for 15 years, and teaching for 3 after earning her E-RYT 500 certification through Jennifer Prugh’s YA-certified JOY of Yoga teacher training.

Balancing a 32-year career in sales, a family, and being a serious seeker of the deeper studies, Yoga has become her path.
That path has gifted her with tools for coping with anxiety and a condition affecting balance, Meniere’s Disease.
Her How –
Amy’s classes are known for being physically challenging, fun, insightful, and creatively layered. You’ll dance while being cued for alignment, invited to unfurl, and feel better in your body and spirit. You can count on a fresh philosophical theme weekly.

Teachers who continue to inspire her path are BKS Iyengar, Pattabhi Jois, Tias Little, Baron Baptiste, Jennifer Prugh, Stephanie Snyder, Noell Clark, Mojdeh Zahiraleslamzadeh, Janet Stone, Giselle Mari, and Bernie Clark.
Her What –
