Come chant and sing our hearts open.
Kirtan is the call and response chanting of the many names of God. As we breathe, chant, sing, clap, dance, or meditate, our unified reaching out to the Divine creates a transformative atmosphere and experience, infused with the qualities of peace, joy and love.
This is a community event open to all. The mood is both meditative and celebratory.
About Aruna Peters
Aruna facilitated a monthly community kirtan at the Pacific Cultural Center’s Ashtanga Yoga Institute in Santa Cruz for 5 special years. The intent was to create an opportunity for yoga teachers, students, and the general community to have a supportive environment to lead kirtan and/or participate in the practice, open to all traditions and styles. She is excited to get it started up again here at Breathe Together.
If you would like to lead a chant or play an instrument, contact Aruna at arunalove@gmail.com.
