Cristina Maldonado is a tenacious student of life who loves to explore, play, and learn about the world around her and the people in it. She believes our unique perspectives and experiences contribute to the strength in diversity. Her curiosity for the world led her to earn a Bachelors in Global Studies from University of California, Santa Barbara, and later a Master of Arts in International Studies from Chapman University. Her yoga practice began in college when she and her roommate would walk down to the beach in between classes to flow on the sand with the fresh air and ocean as the backdrop. Ever since, she has relied on yoga as a mechanism to continue exploration and learning.
During a time when the world as we knew it came to a halt, Cristina took that opportunity to grow in her yoga practice earning her 200-hour YTT certification through the Kaivalya Yoga Method, which enabled her to gain her Registered Yoga Teacher certification (RYT). Later earning additional certifications in Aerial Yoga and Aerial Fitness.
Cristina’s style of teaching seeks to encourage playfulness while nurturing our body, mind, and spirit. Modalities Cristina enjoys sharing with her students include Gentle Yoga, Aerial Yin, and Aerial Yoga.
Through her teaching, Cristina serves senior communities volunteering her instruction with Enliveo, an organization offering seniors a virtual platform for wellness.
