Come spend an afternoon in nurturing, and supportive practices to nourish your heart – the main Yin organ of the summer. Bay, and Nancy will guide, and support you throughout the workshop with our heart practices of mindful self-compassion, SATYA, and Yoga Nidra.
The workshop will begin with a guided Mindful Self-Compassion breathing practice, and SATYA movements to access with ease your embodied sense of inner safety, and innate compassion. Following the movements, we will transition to a deep rest Yoga Nidra practice to ease into the space of your heart.
No previous yoga experience is necessary. All are welcome.
What to bring:
Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is an empirically-supported self-compassion training program. Based on pioneering research of Kristin Neff, PhD and clinical expertise of Christopher Germer, PhD, MSC teaches practical tools that help people become a warm and supportive friend to themselves when difficulties arise in their lives.
SATYA (Sensory Awareness Training for Yoga Attunement), is a mindfulness practice through movement. Designed and developed by Tias Little, SATYA movements allow all of the tissues to open and breathe. It is a totally unique body of work that supports ease, joy, and flow in the body.
Yoga Nidra is often called the Yoga of Sleep. It’s a guided meditation taken in a comfortable position whereby the practitioner is able to access a deeper level of relaxation often hovering right above sleep yet awake and aware. The effects of this practice allow for deep rest, relaxation, and spacious awareness.
We’re sorry, but we don’t offer refunds or account credit on workshops or trainings.
