Our face reflects how we feel, and sometimes, it even reflects something very different than how we actually feel. Just like our bodies, the skin and muscles on the face can get tense, tight and unresponsive through stressful, busy, tense periods of time. By bringing back the focus to our face, we can re-integrate a very important practice that will help us in realign with who we truly feel we are, here and now. We will feel more congruent and authentic, both inside and outside.
In this workshop you will learn a series of fundamental face-yoga exercises and techniques. You will learn how to invigorate the skin and muscles on the face through breathing, stretching and massaging in ways that will make you feel nourished, brighter, toned and relaxed. You will leave feeling the soothing warmth and life spreading out through the face.
About Face Yoga:
Face Yoga is yoga for the face, yet with a strong emphasis on the person as a whole. It is a natural self-care method for you, that without invasive intervention, makes you feel and look healthy, nourished, revitalized and yes prettier! Traditionally the face has played an important role in the classical practice of Hatha Yoga, pranayama and meditation. However, in the modern practice of yoga the face has taken a backseat, often overlooked, but it is just as important as it is with our face that we meet and connect with ourselves and the world everyday.
