Intro to Intermediate Series Of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga

Mojdeh is sitting cross-legged on an outdoor bench, while smiling.

In this workshop we will take a methodical approach to instruct the students through the various aspects of the postures included in the Intermediate Series of the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. Like other series in the method, we begin with Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation) forms A and B and the standing postures up to Parsvottanasana to establish the basic form and flow of the practice. Finally, we will go through the Intermediate Series postures one by one all the way through Ekapada Sirsasana and other leg behind the head poses. The students will be provided with the basic alignment tools as well as alternatives to perform each pose suitable to their individual need.

This workshop is available to all levels of practitioners although having a regular practice is a plus.
