Oakland-based, pelvic floor @lesliehowardyoga howardyoga returns in March with her 20-hour Pelvic Floor Yoga™ Teacher Training, which features a 1-day workshop focused on pelvic pain and alleviating incontinence.

Leslie's own struggles with healing her hips and pelvis led to intense study of the anatomy, physiology, cultural messaging, history, and energetics of this rich place. She also designed two very successful studies for UCSF on yoga to alleviate incontinence and pelvic pain.

Curious about what happens in a Mysore room or wan

Curious about what happens in a Mysore room or wanting some extra support to start an Ashtanga Vinyasa practice? Join @julskeepingbalance, one of our Mysore teachers, for a 4-week course that provides a step-by-step guide to learn Mysore Style Ashtanga Vinyasa. Students will meet from 12:30-2pm on Saturdays from March 15-April 5.

Students will go through the various aspects of Ashtanga Yoga, including posture, breathing, and dristhi, which create the basis for practice as a moving meditation. Students will start by learning the elements of Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation) forms A and B. These sequences are the foundation of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and establish the basic form and flow of the greater series of postures. Building on this foundation, students will be introduced to the standing, some seated, as well as the finishing postures. Yoga practitioners aim to create a conscious synchronization of breath and movement, to enter a meditative state while practicing Ashtanga Yoga. During each session, students will be led through the postures and then they will be asked to perform the postures on their own.

It is recommended that students join the Mysore and Led Ashtanga classes. This introductory course includes 3 weeks of unlimited access to these Ashtanga classes at Breathe Together Yoga.
