Make some time for self-care before the business of the holidays begin! @dr.bridget_p.sky has a yin + acupuncture workshop the Saturday just before Thanksgiving (Sat, November 23 from 1:30-4pm) that'll relax and reset you.

We will practice a long and gentle yin yoga series attuned to calming the nervous system, opening blockages, allowing our minds to quiet. During the final relaxation, Bridget will apply acupuncture needles to help us deeply rest and restore.

You'll be more likely to move with the hustle and bustle of the season by making time for yourself.

Some of us may spend extra time contemplating and remembering loved ones who are no longer with us today. On the altar at our studio, you'll always find photos of two people who are key to BTY's origin story: Rob and Melissa.

Rob read an ad for a yoga therapist who happened to be @jennprugh. He wanted to support his wife Melissa, who was struggling with cancer that had reached her brain. He was seeking alternative methods to help alleviate Melissa's suffering. Jennifer worked with Melissa for many months. Melissa eventually passed. Some time later, Rob suggested that he and Jennifer open a studio to give back to the community and share what yoga gave to him and his wife.

In 2017 Rob died from a rare kidney disease. Though he and Melissa are gone, they are very much present in our space.

The much loved Make Your Own Mala workshop returns

The much loved Make Your Own Mala workshop returns on Sunday, November 24. Led by Kate Miller, owner of @enlightenedpieces , attendees will learn about the history of malas and their significance in spiritual traditions. Kate will also go over the different parts of a mala and the design options.

Then, you’ll get to make a mala and take it home with you. Kate will provide all the materials.

Did you know that to teach at Breathe Together Yog

Did you know that to teach at Breathe Together Yoga our instructors have at least 500 hours of training? That means our teachers have been through the first round of teacher training (a 200-hour certification program) and have extended their education further by taking an additional 300-hour program.

Many students who’ve been practicing for a while and then take a class at our studio often remark that the experience here is unlike any yoga class they’ve attended. There are a few reasons for that, and one of them happens to be the additional time the teachers have taken to develop themselves personally and professionally. The knowledge and growth they’ve experienced gives more depth to their teaching and what they are able to share with students.
