Wiggly Warrior Spirit at Breathe Together Yoga

It is the one place where I can find stillness while flowing.

Swinging the door open at 10107-H Winchester Blvd, welcomes all to ‘let go’ of the daily hustle and bustle. We come to move mindfully, breathe intentionally, and pause within a like-minded community.

The front desk staff, always wearing a smile, greets us, and so begins our ‘on the mat’ adventure. Sauntering through the lobby among books, clothing, and lovely trinkets, we choose our cubby, release items from day-to-day life, and enter the sanctuary of Luna or Sola.

Whether it’s under the prayer flags or nestled in front of the waterfall wall, we unfurl our mats, take a breath, and anticipate the next seventy-five minutes of class. The smorgasbord of offerings from the intensity of Mandala Vinyasa to the quiet and stillness of Yin always makes for a complete experience. Being part of our Breathe Together Yoga community sustains me profoundly. Practicing beside others moves me both physically and emotionally.

Like me, we all have a Wiggly Warrior inside us. We grasp, we challenge, we get stung sometimes by life. Yet because we come together at Breathe Together, we get to reset. Leaving the front door, we’re calmer, happier, and more connected.

Thanks to finding yoga in her 20's, the physical postures and calming intentions kept Carolyn moving forward.  After completing a 30-year career as a public school teacher, Carolyn found her writing discipline through daily meditation. In her memoir, The Wiggly Warrior, she has chronicled many grand adventures and life lessons she has learned through negotiating the physical world in her wiggly body due to cerebral palsy. She currently teaches aqua yoga.
