Learn and practice specific poses that can stretch and strengthen muscles to help relieve tightness, alleviate pain, and allow for better mobility on and off the bike. Better flexibility means less pain on and off the bike. This 2-hour workshop will address improving flexibility and increasing your range of motion to help you move about your day with greater ease and less pain.
We will commence with a yoga flow to enhance overall movement, challenging your strength, balance, mobility, and flexibility. We will practice specific postures for opening and gently stretching our bodies to release deep-seated tension. Our practice will conclude with a meditation session, using the mind-body connection to enhance self-awareness and instill a sense of inner peace.
Attendees will receive a take-away handout outlining specific asanas (poses) to help prepare for pre- and post-rides.
This is for all levels of bicyclists. No previous yoga experience is needed. Everyone can benefit!
Jean has been a yogi for the past 16 years, and started leading group classes after completing her JOY of Yoga 200-hour teacher training in early 2017. Jean’s teaching style is a vinyasa flow, synchronizing breath with movement while focusing on increasing mobility, strength, and balance. She hopes to help students find yoga enjoyable while receiving the benefits of consistent practice. Jean is completing her JOY of Yoga 300-hour teacher training at Breathe Together Yoga, Los Gatos. She is available for group and private classes.
