Our yoga, meditation and mindfulness practices are influenced by a variety of traditions from around the world. To both honor and learn more about how those traditions can support our daily lives, we’re offering a continuing education program in mindfulness arts.
Join us in September to experience contributions from Japan. This event is a collaboration made by Reverend Etsuko Mikame from the San Jose Buddhist Church Betsuin, and yoga teachers Izumi Sato, Oko Kanno, Mariko Dugay and Kiyoe Iwahashi.
This is an opportunity to explore the mindfulness practices of Reiki, Japanese Flower arranging (ikebana), Calligraphy (shodo), and Sutra chanting (dokyo). The events begin as early as August, where, as a community, we will learn how to make 1,000 paper cranes over several weeks.
Join us for any and all of this beautiful and exciting weekend.
