Yin Yoga, frequently called the quiet practice, is challenging in many ways but deeply therapeutic and meditative for mind and body. This practice stretches the connective tissues of the body and stimulates energy flow through the meridians of the body. A series of long-held seated poses (typically 3-5 min) are lovingly interwoven with gentle stretches, soulful music, aromatherapy, thought provoking poetry, spiritual readings and best of all ~ hands on healing and massage. 

Yin Yoga is perfect to practice as an add on to any fitness or yoga routine and especially good to do around stressful times in life.  This style of yoga is a valuable tool to have in your personal practice. Embodying the softer styles of yoga accompanied with the scent and application of essential oils, can lead to a deepening of personal transformation and insight into our life’s challenges.  It is essentially a yoga practice for the body, mind and spirit.

This workshop features a presentation on Meridian Theory, followed by a soothing Yin practice. Essential Oils will be used throughout the yin session to enhance feelings of relaxation, joy and gently stimulate self therapy.  

All levels of practice are welcome.  Perfect for beginners, seasoned yogis or those going through a tough chapter in life.
