Meditation & Breath Practice

One thing you wish all your students – that everyone, including non-yogis – knew?

There is an incredibly small chance that anyone is born on this earth. We are not here to visit; we are a part of something greater than we know!

What teachings do you return to again and again?

Letting go! I return to letting go often in my life and in my yoga classes. Releasing attachment of negative or positive outcomes, even letting go of perceived aspects of ourselves is valuable, hard work. In my yoga classes, I encourage moving from one posture to the next without attachment to the previous pose. When we begin to love the way a pose looks aesthetically, we try to move that feeling into every single pose after without letting go. Allowing your asana practice to be changeable and guided by embracing the unknown will give you the experience of being with your true self rather than your desires. This will then translate to life off the mat.
