Mo-Han Fong

Mo-Han is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-500) and a Holistic Health Practitioner. She earned her 200-hour and 300-hour yoga teacher certifications through Jennifer Prugh’s JOY of Yoga program.

From a young age, Mo-Han has been exposed to mindful-movement practices and Eastern philosophies, including Taiji, Qigong, and Yoga. She considers yoga to be an integrated mind-body practice that can promote overall wellness physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Mo-Han has been teaching various forms of Hatha and Vinyasa yoga classes to students with all levels of experience. In her classes, Mo-Han supports her students in cultivating mindfulness and mind-body connection through guided meditation, breathwork, asanas, and mindful movement. She also emphasizes appropriate posture alignment and provides necessary posture modifications in her classes to help students derive maximum benefits and safety, while cultivating their individual growth.

Before becoming a yoga teacher and holistic health practitioner, Mo-Han earned a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering and worked in the high-tech industry for over 20 years. With her long-standing passion in holistic health to support others’ and her own well-being, Mo-Han finally decided to change her career path and go back to school. In addition to becoming a registered yoga teacher, she also earned a master’s degree in holistic nutrition and obtained certifications in holistic health practice. She is a certified Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® Practitioner (FDN-P), Certified Gluten Practitioner (CGP), and certified health coach. She works as a holistic and functional health coach to support her clients in their health journey.

Mo-Han aims to inspire, educate, and empower individuals and communities to live healthier and more fulfilling lives.

What is your favorite go-to practice that you do nearly every day?

My favorite go-to practice that helps me get grounded and release stagnation in my body includes seated meditation, fascia stretching, and gentle joint-mobility movements.

My teaching style aims to cultivate mindfulness, exploration, and compassion within my students. 

What does yoga mean to you?

Yoga to me is an on-going way of living, being, learning, sharing, and being of service.
