Space Clearing Spring Fling

Clutter has been found to reduce our ability to focus, raise cortisol levels, and can lead to feelings of stress and anxiety. Turns out our visual cortex can be overly taxed by taking in so much information and trying to filter for what’s most important.

Decluttering our spaces can improve our focus, productivity, mood, and even physical wellbeing. Spring is a great time for a clear out, and you may naturally find yourself inspired to lighten up and make space for new possibilities.

Over 3 days we’ll work together to create some breathing room. Here’s how we’ll structure the weekend for your success:

  • On Friday you’ll choose the space you’re tending to, learn different approaches to clutter and disorganization, how to let go with less effort and more flow, and pick up a few tips for moving through overwhelm.
  • On Saturday we’ll kick off our work day with mindfulness, and decluttering will be broken down into simple tasks. We’ll alternate between quick check-ins, learning how to let go with more flexibility, and making actual room in your rooms.
    If at any point you get stuck during task sessions, you’ll jump back online and I’ll be available for support and guidance to move through your specific challenges.
    By the end of Saturday you’ll have made significant progress on clearing your space.
  • On Sunday we’ll meet later in the day to learn where those released things might best serve others, how to continue clearing, tools for energizing a space, and to celebrate the spaciousness you’ve made.

Throughout the weekend you’ll:

  • Uncover how your environment impacts you from both a scientific and energetic perspective, with simple ways to make home feel good right now
  • Learn how to work with your nervous system when initiating change and letting go
  • Receive tips, tools, resources, and guidance to make the decluttering process easier – even fun!
  • Build trust in your own decision-making
  • Clear tangible space in your home alongside your BTY friends

To make the most of your efforts this weekend, carve out these times:

Friday, March 31 

  • 7-8pm: Overview/approach for selecting your space

Saturday, April 1

  • 10:00 – 10:15am: kick off
  • 10:15 – 11:00am: clearing/decluttering time; If you get stuck or have a question, Jennifer will be on Zoom to offer guidance
  • 11:00 – 11:15am: check in for 15 minutes and receive next steps
  • 11:15 – 12:00pm: return to your tasks. Jennifer will be on Zoom for guidance 
  • 12:00 – 1:30pm: take a break, enjoy lunch and continue to work 
  • 1:30 – 2:15pm: after lunch, Jennifer will lead a session on practices for creating supportive spaces
  • 2:15 – 4:30pm: continue making progress on your tasks; Jennifer will be available on Zoom
  • 4:30 – 5:00pm: we’ll close our day with a session on letting go

Sunday, April 2

  • Morning: on your own, continue working on your space if you choose
  • 1:00 – 2:00pm: we close the session with another lesson on uplifting the energy at home
  • 3:00 – 4:30pm: join Jennifer at BTY to celebrate together in person & chat with her about the space you’ve made. Enjoy a cup of tea!

The sessions on Friday at 7pm, Saturday at 1:30 and 4:30, and Sunday at 1pm will be recorded and available for replay for 14 days after the event.
