Yoga for Outdoor Adventurers: Hiking, Backpacking and Cycling

Join Jana Kilgore, E-RYT500 yoga instructor and author of The Outdoor Adventurers Guide to Yoga, for this afternoon of preparation and practice to enjoy your outdoor adventures with greater awareness, balance and strength. The embodied awareness practices of yoga have been shown to greatly increase our capacity to engage consciously with ourselves and the natural world. Learn about the physical,mental and emotional demands of hiking, backpacking and cycling and the most essential yoga practices to prepare for, enjoy and recover from these sports. 

In this workshop we will discuss the healing power of nature, common injuries and imbalances for each activity, practice asana, breathwork, meditations and spend time journaling on the experiences.

No prior experience is necessary and all levels are welcome and encouraged to attend.
