Yoga & Prayer Flag Making in the Garden

amy-carroll-prayer-flags

Join Amy in guiding a small group through a soulful day of creatively expressing our prayers for our planet, the natural world, the animal world, our families, and ourselves by imprinting, and embellishing the flags with personal prayers, symbols, and Mantra.

The originators of this ancient Bon and then Buddhist tradition intended these works of devotion, love, and art to fly high and spread the prayers via the wind. The flags won’t last forever, but hopefully, our memories and intentions set from this special day will.

You will leave with a strand of 10 beautiful, personally reflective flags to hang in or outdoors, to benefit all who pass underneath.

Lunch is included. You are welcome to stay until 3pm if your creative juices are flowing!

All artistic levels, all level yogis, and all faiths are welcome. The only prerequisite is an open heart and mind.

About Amy & the origins of this event

The first time Amy saw prayer flags, they moved her to tears though she knew nothing about them. But somehow she knew their message. Twelve years later, Amy is combining her passions of yoga, art, chanting and gardening. Prayer Flags are the cherry on top!

Before a 32-year Sales career, Amy held pretty cool craft parties. Since then, friends have asked “WHEN is the return of the craft parties?”

Breathe Together Yoga raised her on Yoga from age 44 to 56. While she regrets being so late to it, she rejoices in the fact that she did! COVID retired her from sales and now she’s a Yoga Teacher, and breathes deeply regularly to acknowledge that it’s OK to be this happy.

My desire for now in my teaching is to give and receive love, remain present and continue to grow with our students as though we’re partners in this life.
