Specializing in Svādhyāya through Yin and Hatha Yoga, Savira’s holistic style of teaching encompasses the understanding of the physical, mental, and spiritual journey of this yoga. She believes that yoga is a self-inquiry practice both on and off the yoga mat. Her classes are slow and steady, combined with stories of yoga mythology and scriptures from the Bhagavad Gita. Each class encourages deep relaxation and the understanding of safe alignment in a playful environment that encourages interaction and self-exploration.

What have you learned through your practice?

My practice has taught me patience and acceptance; both integral in my development of my practice and as a being. These virtues are constant reminders of staying humble and present.   

One thing you wish that everyone  – including non-yogis – knew?

Be humble.   

How have you set up your practice space?

Yes, I love the space that I have created. I can spend my day there, surrounded by my books, Ganesha and Buddha. What more do I want?
