Yoga Somatics: An Experiential Weekend of Embodied Practice

Tias Little on a beach

In this series of classes, we replenish the body by stretching the fascia and soaking the tissues. Through somatic movement, meditation and yoga posture we open the pathways of prana to drop into spaces of vast and clear awareness.

Yoga Somatics for Nadis, Circulation and Joints

Friday, February 26 @ 3:00-5:00pm

In yoga, the nadis are described as rivers of energy that flow throughout the body — pathways of circulation that include blood, lymph, and nerve currents moving through the connective tissues. There are thousands of small tributaries, forming a living inner landscape of arcs, curves, spirals and elliptical patterns. In this class, we explore gentle SATYA somatic movements and yoga postures to invite greater ease and circulation through these pathways. Using rocking, circular and spiral movements, we soften the fascia, nourish the joints, and encourage the body’s natural fluid intelligence. The practice is slow, receptive, and deeply regenerative–supporting radiant health, resilience, and longevity.

Nourishing Bone, Blood and Breath

Friday, February 26 @ 6:00-8:00pm

This class gently guides students through movements designed to unwind fatigue and stress held in the body. Through SATYA (Somatic Awareness Training for Yoga) somatic practices and supported yoga postures, we invite the nervous system to settle, release strain from the deeper tissues, and quiet the mind. As the body softens, we encourage a more harmonious flow of prana, nourishing bone, blood, and breath, and gently rejuvenating the soft tissues of the body. The practice is slow, supportive, and deeply restorative– offering a sense of grounding, ease, and renewed vitality.

Yoga Somatics to Stretch and Strengthen Inside Leg

Saturday, February 27 @ 9:30am-12:00pm

Stretching the inner leg is essential to sustaining the deep life force in the body. Due to excess fatigue and stress, the inner leg is typically tight, weak or collapsed. The inside leg is home to the deepest reserves in the body—in Chinese Medicine it is the location of the kidney liver and spleen meridians. Through both dynamic and restorative movements this class helps reduce fatigue, increase circulation and rejuvenate the entire body.

Yoga Somatics for the Shoulders and Neck

Saturday, February 27 @ 2:00-4:30pm

In this class we practice SATYA (Somatic Awareness Training for Yoga) using gentle, gliding, stretching, and unwinding movements. These finely articulated movements help cultivate somatic intelligence and deepen proprioceptive awareness. As the fascia is gently stretched and the tissues are rehydrated, the body is invited to release accumulated tension in the shoulders and neck. This practice helps reduce stress, fatigue, and depletion, leaving the body feeling more spacious, supported, and at ease.

Yoga Somatics for Sacrum, Hips and Low Back

Sunday, February 28 @ 9:30am-12:00pm

This class is a slow, attentive exploration of the structures around the hips, inviting both stability and ease into the low back and pelvis. Through a gradual progression of gentle, multi-directional movements, we explore the many angles of rotation in and around hip joints, encouraging fluidity in the sacrum, sacroiliac joints, and pelvic bowl or(tissues). Through SATYA somatic movements, along with simple standing and seated yoga postures, we invite a steady, nourishing flow of prana through the pelvis and spine. The practice is grounding, supportive, and quietly strengthening.
