Michele Atkinson

Michele Atkinson is a 200 Hour Certified Yoga Instructor with a personal practice that began over 20 years ago. Beginning yoga as a way to get back into shape after having children, she immediately fell in love with yoga and noticed its effect on her. Experiencing a deep sense of presence and connection through mindful movement, she began her deeper journey into yoga. She appreciated the mind, body, and spirit “triad of wellness” that yoga embodies and decided to pursue her teacher certification. Now, she aspires to create nurturing spaces where students can explore inner stillness, postures, and presence through breath and focused awareness. She also explores work with the chakras through movement and attention. She believes yoga is a profound tool for transformation, personal growth, and self-exploration. The practice of Svadhyaya, the fourth Niyama of the Eight Limbs of Yoga is especially meaningful to Michele as she sees life as an opportunity to continue to learn and discover about oneself through reflection and deep inner work. She holds a master’s degree in psychology and is currently pursuing her 500 Yoga Teacher certification.

Look to your dharma
Do it full out.
Release the fruits.
Turn it over to God.
