Our nervous systems are meant to be adaptable, shifting between states of activation and rest. Over time, chronic stress can interrupt this flow, leaving us lingering in a state of being wired and anxious, shut down and exhausted, or swinging between the two.
This vinyasa-based workshop weaves together somatic practices, pranayama, and mindful movement to explore these natural rhythms.
We’ll explore intentional cycles of upregulation and downregulation, offering a direct experience of your nervous system’s flexibility and supporting its ability to move more fluidly between states.

In the theories of two major holistic medicine systems, ayurveda and chinese medicine, our own energy system called prana or qi is the basis for our internal health, vibrancy, and lasting wellness. There are a multitude of ways to support this life force. In this workshop, we will initially discuss the ways to support our qi via daily sustainable practices – these may be tailored to your lifestyle. We will also discuss and brainstorm what in our lives depletes and drains our life force. As beings, we are seeking a balance of energy and sustainable health. This will give us a framework for how to continue to support ourselves.
Movement is imperative in balancing our life force, each of us does this daily through yoga, qi gong, exercise, breathwork, nutrition, and a myriad of ways. You’ll learn four very important acupressure points called the four gates, and we will then each experience an acupuncture session (in a group setting) – including and meditating on those same points.
This is a perfect kick-start to the spring season. It can be mutually supportive to your daily life and is a taste of what acupuncture can do for your body, mind, and spirit.

Flourish (verb)
Etymology: from the Latin florere ("to bloom, to flower")
To flourish is to grow or develop in a healthy, vigorous, and life-affirming way—to thrive physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually. It suggests a state in which supportive conditions have been cultivated and the natural response is evidenced in blossoming.
In a contemplative sense, flourishing is a way of living in alignment with what truly nourishes us, allowing our innate capacities to ripen over time through care, attention, and wise action. In this workshop, we explore flourishing through the lens of the great flowering lotus across yoga, Ayurveda, Bhakti, and Buddhist traditions.
Drawing on the living metaphors of plants and flowers, we’ll move through practices that support steadiness, nourishment, and inner radiance. We’ll trace the arc of growth and reflect on how blooming arises not through effort, but through resting more fully in one’s own nature. Every flower has its season.

In Qigong, each channel of our body is categorized by one of five elements. Each element is further associated with a yin and yang organ, meridian, season, direction, time of day, sound, color, and emotion.
Join me as we learn how each of these elements physiologically and psychologically support one another. We will learn Qigong exercises that correspond to each element, as well as routines to open through the organs and meridians, clearing any blockages and strengthening each channel. We will also learn the healing sound practice for each element to release physical and emotional energetic blockages.
This workshop will be a mixture of knowledge, experience, exercise, breathwork and meditation. Lighten up your body, connect to the Qi, and join me as we enter the flow!
