Set beneath Mongolia’s immense skies and open landscapes, this retreat invites us to return to the immediacy of experience through daily yoga, meditation, breath practice, and creative inquiry. We are visiting Mongolia during their vibrant national Naadam Festival, held each July, where traditional horse racing, archery, and wrestling offer a living expression of Mongolian culture and connection to the land. This is a rare opportunity to experience such a unique culture, and we’ll likely be touched by it. You’ll leave feeling more connected to yourself and more awake to wonder.
This journey offers a beautiful balance of both. Each day includes yoga, meditation, and opportunities for reflection, while the destination itself invites a deeper spirit of exploration. Set in the vast landscapes of Mongolia’s Orkhon Valley, you’ll have opportunities to experience the region’s rich history, nomadic culture, and extraordinary natural beauty.
Activities may include hiking, horseback riding, cultural excursions, visits to ancient monasteries and historical sites, wildlife viewing, and simply soaking in the profound stillness of the Mongolian steppes. While yoga provides the foundation for the experience, this retreat is designed for travelers who enjoy combining meaningful practice with adventure, discovery, and cultural immersion.
