South India consists of the five southern Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu, as well as the union territories of Puducherry, Lakshadweep, Andaman, and Nicobar. Explore southern India on a 12-day journey that begins in Chennai and ends Cochin – east to west across the two major regions of South India.

The Tamil Nadu region offers a great architectural and cultural wealth and is a region where Hindu fervor is omnipresent. Kerala, on the other hand, boasts a plethora of diverse nature; between jungle, countryside, mountain, tea plantation, lakes and rivers. Not to mention beautiful beaches that punctuate the beginning and end of your trip.

The journey from Chennai starts with visiting the holy places where the Hindu religion developed its identity. You will travel to Kanchipuram-Mahabalipuram, where you can visit famous temples such as Kailashnath and Ekambareswarar, and become familiar with world-famous UNESCO World Heritage sites. Last but not least, you will visit Tanjore, Madurai.

Travel around the temples of South India. Enjoy visiting tea plantations and spice gardens. Cruise on the famous backwaters of Kerala on a traditional houseboat. You will be marked by its multicultural, warm and smiling inhabitants.
