This session is a great prelude to a regular vinyasa yoga flow – or to simply start your day. In this video, we will gently and actively warm-up through the ankles, hips, and low back. Gentle to more active twists for the spine will strengthen your abdominals and spinal rotators. Learn to sync your breath to the simple patterns for mindful movement. Finish with a short lead into savasana.

In this mantra, the 24 Mudras are practiced while chanting the Gayatri Mantra which has 24 syllables. Gayatri Mantra is dedicated to Savitri, a Vedic sun deity. Among various translations of the mantra, I introduce the first line by Tias Little and the rest of the lines by Swami Vivekananda.
